UAE and Georgia discuss cooperation in the renewable energy sector
UAE-based Masdar, also known as Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, and the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development discussed the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of up to 100 MW, Trend reports on April 9, citing the press service of the ministry.
The parties discussed the prospects for future cooperation in the field of renewable energy development.
Earlier, the Georgian Energy Development Fund and Masdar signed an agreement on the joint development of a solar power plant project on December 29, 2021.
In accordance with the agreement, the parties will carry out technical, commercial and financial activities for the further development of the solar power plant project.
Masdar is a global leader in renewable energy and sustainable urban development, developing renewable energy projects in the international market and improving clean technology innovation, the ministry said.
