The trade turnover between Russia and the UAE for the first nine months of this year amounted to about $ 3.76 billion, an increase of 86.03% compared to the same period last year. This was reported to TASS by the UAE Ambassador to Moscow, Mohammed Ahmed al-Jaber.

“Thanks to the efforts of the parties, the use of existing reserves has intensified, the quality of interaction has increased, which has become a locomotive on the way to the constant development of bilateral relations. For nine months of 2021, trade between Russia and the UAE amounted to about $ 3.76 billion, an increase of 86.03% compared to the same period in 2020, ”the diplomat said.

The ambassador emphasized that the high level of mutual political trust between the leaders of the two countries is the basis for the development and bringing cooperation between Moscow and Abu Dhabi to a new level.

Strategic partner
According to the diplomat, the UAE attaches particular importance to the development of trade cooperation with Russia. “In international cooperation, one cannot do without sincere, trusting, like-minded partners. In the person of Russia, we have not only a strategic partner, but also one of the most important and priority partners for cooperation in all areas. We are committed to mutually beneficial trade cooperation based on the principle of equality and mutual respect, ”he stressed.

Al-Jaber also noted the participation of the UAE delegation in the “Made in Russia” forum held in Moscow on December 10. According to him, the participation of the UAE in the forum this year was significant, a large delegation was led by the State Minister of Foreign Trade of the country, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyudi.

The ambassador added that the site of the “Made in Russia” forum is important for the UAE not only to talk about the goals and objectives that the country sets for itself in trade with Russia, but also to tell how the views of Abu Dhabi on the state world trade in general. “In a rapidly changing world, joining efforts and mutually beneficial cooperation is the right path for all countries, without exception,” Al-Jaber emphasized.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries turned 50 this December.
