The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan met with the Ambassador of the UAE

The head of the ministry and the diplomat exchanged views on the state and prospects for building up economic cooperation.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan Mohammad Al Blushy, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Economy reported.

During the conversation, the prospects for building up cooperation in trade, economic, investment and other areas were considered.

The diplomat stressed that the UAE attaches great importance to the development of partnerships with Azerbaijan and that the business circles of the United Arab Emirates are interested in participating in the implementation of a number of projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

Minister Jabbarov, in turn, highly appreciated the existing level of partnership with the UAE. The countries are actively interacting in such areas as trade, investment, transport and logistics, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and tourism. A significant role in this cooperation belongs to the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE and the trade missions of both states.
