The International Conference on Quantum Technologies ICQT-2021 will be held online on July 12-16
The International Conference on Quantum Technologies ICQT-2021 will be held on July 12-16. It was organized by the Russian Quantum Center, the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and the National Quantum Laboratory; the partners of the event were the Russian Academy of Sciences, Sberbank, Gazprombank, and the Roscongress Foundation. The conference is included in the program of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia.
The largest event in Russia in the field of quantum technologies will be held online for the first time and will bring together leading scientists from the USA, Canada, China, Germany, Great Britain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Singapore.
The conference program is divided into two blocks: an open day for a wide audience and a closed scientific part, where international experts will present their own reports. Scientists from different countries will discuss how to develop international quantum projects, and startups – to attract external funding.
It is expected that world-famous researchers will make scientific reports: one of the leaders in the field of quantum computing on atoms Mikhail Lukin, professor at Harvard University Yevgeny Demler, professor at Purdue University Vladimir Shalaev, professor at Basel University Daniel Loss and representatives of national quantum programs: head of the European program development of quantum technologies Quantum Flagship Tommaso Calarko, research director of the French National Center for Scientific Research Bernard Gilles and others.
On July 15, an open ICQT day will be held, when viewers can join the high-level discussions of scientists. Anyone can take part in the open day, having previously registered on the official website. Participants will have a presentation of quantum computing and an analysis of their application in the financial sector, logistics, medicine and pharmaceuticals. Among the participants are Julian Kelly, head of the direction for the development of quantum computers and software at Google, professor and head of the quantum center at Duke University (USA), founder and scientific director of IonQ, Chris Monroe, director of digitalization at Rosatom State Corporation Ekaterina Solntseva and others. The moderator will be Ruslan Yunusov, head of the project office of ROSATOM for quantum technologies, head of the National Quantum Laboratory. The beginning is at 17:00 (Moscow time). To take part, you need to register on the site.
