On April 20-21, the 20th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Tourism and Travel” – “KITF” will be held in Almaty, Business Kazakhstan reports.

The KITF exhibition is the largest industry b2b event in Central Asia, the performance of which is growing from year to year. This year, 211 companies from 18 countries of the world (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, UAE, Poland, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Japan) are participating in the exhibition . In the anniversary year for the project, such companies as Antaal Life, EcoPark Tour, KOMPAS Touroperator, SCAT, AIR ASTANA, KazTour, Trip to the KZ and many others announced their participation.

Participation in the KITF exhibition is a promising solution for travel companies and travel agencies in neighboring countries. Visa-free regime with Kazakhstan, geographical proximity and absence of a language barrier can serve as objective reasons for participation of companies from neighboring countries.

Within the framework of the exhibition, an extensive business program will be held, the events of which will help discuss topical industry issues in the format of live negotiations, networking and professional exchange of experience.

“Almaty is the largest metropolis in Kazakhstan and the absolute leader in terms of the number of incoming foreign tourists. The city has great opportunities for the development of business, ecological, cultural and ethnographic, ski tourism, as well as family recreation. It should be noted that every second foreign tourist arriving in Kazakhstan visits Almaty. Over the past year, the number of tourists has grown by 65% ​​and reached 1.2 million, which is almost a fifth of the national figure – 5.4 million people. Taking into account international trends and expert opinion, by 2025 we plan to attract 2.3 million tourists,” said Sabina Amangeldy, head of the Almaty Tourism Department, during the opening of the exhibition.

At the end of 2021, the volume of services rendered in the tourism sector in Almaty amounted to 27.9 billion tenge, which is 66% more than in 2020. The volume of investments in the tourism industry amounted to 100.7 billion tenge with an increase of 46.3%.
