Tea from the Ust-Ilim factory “Kiprey” is planned to be exported to the UAE

“Export landing” of the Irkutsk region visited Ust-Ilimsk and discussed with the management of the local tea factory “Kiprey” the possibility of exporting products to the United Arab Emirates. This country has placed a large request for the supply of natural herbal tea on the electronic exchange of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the press service of the regional government writes.

Natalya Gershun, Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Irkutsk Region:

  • Informing enterprises about opening opportunities for export is one of the main tasks of the “Export landing”. We have many enterprises – manufacturers of products that will be to the taste of partners from abroad. And business support institutions operating in the region can give a comprehensive assessment, suggest which goods will be of interest abroad, assist in finding new partners, completing documentation, and obtaining the necessary certificates.

In Ust-Ilimsk, a meeting of the landing team with enterprises of the forestry, manufacturing, tourism, and food industries took place. Representatives of timber processing companies reported that the sanctions against Russia affected the geography of exports. Many organizations have managed to reorient themselves and find new partners within the country, but interest in foreign markets remains. Food manufacturers today are also experiencing difficulties in entering new markets.

Representatives of the “Export landing” visited a new cardboard plant, which is being built by the group “Ilim”. The Pulp and Cardboard Mill is the largest investment project in the domestic industry in recent years, the volume of investments is more than one billion dollars. The new plant will produce up to 630 thousand tons of containerboard per year, a significant share of which will be exported to Asian countries.

In addition, the experts visited the Ilimsky Les timber processing enterprise, which is engaged in the trade of timber and building materials, sanitary equipment, and supplies products to the regions of Russia, South Korea and China. In the building materials market, the company sells molded products mainly from Siberian larch. The company was recommended to enter the national project “Labor Productivity” to optimize production, together with representatives of the Russian Export Center to work out the possibility of obtaining compensation for the services of logistics companies.

The working group “Export landing” this year plans to visit 21 municipalities of the region. It included representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Labor, business development institutions, the tax service, customs, and other departments and organizations.
