N. Shulginov, within the framework of the GECF, talked about cooperation with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE
Head of the Russian Ministry of Energy N. Shulginov and UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure S. Al-Mazroui at the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries (GECF) considered 2-way cooperation in the fuel and energy complex (FEC).
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
Ministers:
noted the importance of the functioning of the joint Working Group on cooperation in the field of sustainable energy,
discussed possible dates for holding its meeting in the near future,
touched upon the work of the subgroup on hydrogen in order to implement the Declaration of Intent on cooperation in the field of sustainable energy.
In conclusion, N. Shulginov invited the UAE delegation to visit the World Energy Congress, which will be held in St. Petersburg from October 24 to 27, 2022.
Recall that at present the GECF includes the leading producers of natural gas – Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Norway, Iraq, Oman and the UAE have observer status.
GECF countries control 72% of proven gas reserves, 46% of production, 55% of pipeline gas exports and 61% of liquefied natural gas supplies.
As a result of the 6th summit, it is planned to adopt the Doha Declaration.
