Kyrgyzstan and UAE to create Kyrgyz-Emirates Business Council

Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates will create a Kyrgyz-Emirati interstate business council. An agreement on this was reached at the Kyrgyz-Emirates business forum held on Wednesday in Bishkek, IA 24.kg reports today with reference to the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the agency, following the event, a number of documents were signed, including memorandums and agreements on cooperation between the two countries.

In particular, contracts were signed for the supply of meat and honey from Kyrgyzstan to the UAE for $11 million. In addition, the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum to expand investment and business opportunities.

Speaking at the forum, UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Taouk Al-Marri said that his country is ready to increase investment in tourism, agriculture, technology, as well as in the export of local products.
