The official name: Republic of Estonia. It is a state located in Northern Europe on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, on Gulf of Finland and the Gulf of Riga.
It borders Russia in the east and Latvia in the south. In the north, in the Gulf of Finland, there is a sea border with Finland. In the north and west, it is on the Baltic Sea. The capital is the city of Tallinn.

Member of the UN since September 17, 1991, of the European Union since May 1, 2004, of NATO since March 29, 2004, of the OECD since December 9, 2010. Member of the Council of Europe (1993). It is part of the Schengen area and the Euro area.
The country’s independence was declared on February 24, 1918.
Official language-Estonian.
