The United Arab Emirates Company will develop a small industrial zone in the city of Ekibastuz. This became known during the meeting of the akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov with the founders of Canarax Trading LLP Nitin Bhatnagar and Ibrahim Ahmad Abdullah Al Hammadi, Kazinform reports with reference to the press service of the akim of the region. Akim of the region noted that within the framework of the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on speeding up the implementation of investment projects, work is underway to create an industrial zone of regional significance. “This is not our first meeting,” Abylkair Skakov said. “Last March in Abu Dhabi, our representatives signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation.” The head of the region said that subsequently a regional industrial zone was created in Ekibastuz. Canarax Trading was invited as an anchor investor in a small industrial zone. The founder of the company, Nitin Bhatnagar, said that during the pandemic period, there were difficulties with flights and negotiations. He noted that now these difficulties are behind us. “We carried out work on the implementation of the industrial zone and met with potential investors,” said Nitin Bhatnagar. “Our task is to successfully implement the project of a small industrial zone in Ekibastuz.”
To date, investors have registered Canarax Ekibastuz Industrial Zone LLP in Ekibastuz and Astana International Financial Center. In the future, this partnership will be designated as the management company of the industrial zone. “When approving the comprehensive plan for the development of Ekibastuz, we set the task of developing coal chemistry,” said Abylkair Skakov. “We are focusing on the fact that coal is the main resource and raw material base.” The head of the region instructed the akim of the city of Ekibastuz Ardak Kantarbaev and the heads of responsible government agencies to work out in detail the terms and conditions of the joint project to open an industrial zone. On the development of coal chemistry, Abylkair Skakov recommended that the investor establish cooperation with the Institute of Chemistry and Coal, which already has developments in waste-free technology for processing coal ash, obtaining adsorbents for wastewater treatment.
