Electrical products of Uzbekistan entered the markets of Yemen, UAE, Syria, Latvia and Tanzania
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, the volume of industrial production amounted to 3.6 trillion. soum, growth compared to the same period last year amounted to 117.1%. The export volume is about 150 million dollars. This is 1.4 times more than in the same period last year. Namoz Tolipov, head of the information service of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, announced this at a briefing at AIMC.
There are also project proposals for the creation of a “Copper Industry Cluster” based on the creation of a multi-level value chain “from raw materials to finished products.”
For this purpose, a land plot of 160 hectares has been allocated in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. Currently, 12 projects worth $168 million have been formed, which will create more than 4,500 new jobs. Additional products worth 250 million dollars will be sent for export. With the launch of projects, there will be capacities for processing more than 80 thousand tons of copper.
