Days of Belarus Science held in Expo 2020 Dubai 

On February 2 and 3, 2022, the National Academy of Sciences displayed its research and innovation capabilities at the “EXPO-2020” in the Belarus Pavilion.

Andrei Ivanets, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Belarus National Academy of Sciences, led the group. The mission included members of the National Academy of Sciences, universities, and hospitals.

“Current developments in research and innovation in Belarus”, «Mechanical Engineering & Instrumentation», «Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, and Information Technology in Medicine».

Belarusian scientists propose innovative materials, technology, and equipment for water treatment and purification. Speakers discussed enhancing soil fertility in a changing environment, current trends in food security, Belarusian National Academy of Sciences’ unmanned aerial vehicles, and the “Science-technology-innovations: strategic prospects and existing solutions (Belarusian experience)” system.

On-site negotiations with overseas partners were also held.

Two full-scale models – unmanned aerial vehicle “Busel M40” (RUE “Scientific and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Systems NAS of Belarus”) and 4D-bioprinter (SNU “Institute of Physiology, NAS of Belarus”) are permanently displayed in the Innovestment zone of the Belarus Pavilion.

During the section on Belarusian scientists, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Institute of Physiology, Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health, Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics, Republican Clinical Medical Center, and others presented.
The speakers discussed high-tech breakthroughs of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences in health care and medical devices, including coronavirus prevention.

Towards the end of the phase, Belarusian participants met with foreign medical and health care institutions to discuss business.

The EurAsia Gulf Business Platform, the only organization in the region that connects the public and private sectors of Russia/CIS/Baltic States and Gulf Corporation Council countries, supported this event.
